You don’t need a huge garden or allotment to be able to grow your own edibles. Sometimes a small container is enough to plant a few plugs or seeds that will produce plenty of strawberries, beans, or tomatoes.

Herbs can take up very little space and are often better suited to pots to ensure they do not take over borders.

We have a huge variety of fruit and vegetable plants available, when the season is right. Late spring is often the best time to pick up small, but established plugs that should provide you with some tasty treats to last through the summer into the autumn.

Seeds are an inexpensive way to grow edible plants and a great way to involve the kids. Just scatter some seeds into a few pots filled with compost and the quick germination can encourage children to learn how their food is grown.
